In addition to the penalties and fees that are applied by the Sheriff's Office, all payments made in the County Clerk's Office are subject to a 20% County Attorney's fee, a 10% County Clerk's fee and interest at 1% per month. The delinquency is also subject to being sold to a Third Party in the summer of 2012.</p> <p>The Sheriff s office is located in the lower level of the Governor James Clark Judicial Building. The office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This office honors USPS postmark (not private meters) on all payments received via U.S. mail and payments received in the drop box off Broadway. This box is located in front of the Sheriff's Office and is checked daily.</p> <p>The last day to receive a 2% discount is November 1, 2011. The last day to receive face amount is December 31, 2011. Please note, if your check to pay tax bill(s), is returned by the bank for <b><u>ANY</u></b> reason, your tax bill(s) will be marked unpaid and an automatic charge of $50.00 will be added to your bill. Your bill will then be collectible and subject to any other fees based on the current collection period. If a return occurs we will only accept cash, money order or certified check.</p> <p>When making payment using the drop box, please do not use cash. Identify the bill(s) you are paying by the bill number, account number or address. The mailing address is Clark County Sheriff, 17 Cleveland Avenue, Winchester, KY 40391.
